Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Sandhills in central Florida are "refugias".They were islands two million years ago when most of central and south Florida was submerged. Many of the plants and animals in this ecosystem are also found in the deserts of the Southwestern U.S. Most of the sandhills in Northern and Central Florida have been replaced by pine plantations, citrus groves, rangeland, agriculture, and commercial and residential development. The largest expanses are located in the Florida Panhandle. Fire plays an important role in the ecosystem. Without it, woody undergrowth, oaks and hickories would take over the land, crowding out native plant and animal species. The Longleaf pines are the dominant species of trees on sandhills, and act like lightning rods and help ignite the underbrush. As they grow they develop plates of bark that disperses the heat of a fire and flake off as they burn, protecting sensitive inner bark. They have the ability to live for 300-500 years.
Chris was born in southern Delaware in 1960. As a teenager he began studying maps of Florida and dreamed of exploring the state and it’s natural treasures. In the early 1980’s he moved to Central Florida. During his travels throughout the state he discovered the beauty of it’s swamps, prairies, springs, rivers and lakes. This led to an interest in photography and it’s ability to document his adventures. He also developed an interest in astronomy. He studied the work of Ansel Adams and his “zone” system as well as the works of the his colleges in the “f 64 club” of art photographers.
