Description
I find zebras to be fascinating photographic subjects.Like most members of the horse family, zebras are highly social. These two were busy grooming and seemed
quite amorous. Zebras communicate with each other with high pitched barks and whinnying. A zebra's ears signify its mood. When a zebra is in a calm, tense or friendly mood, its ears stand erect. When it is frightened, its ears are pushed forward. When angry, the ears are pulled backward. The zebra's biggest threats are habitat loss due to ranching and farming and competition for water with livestock. They are also hunted for their skins. Photograph taken at Wild Florida wildlife park in Kenansville, Florida.
